Folks....

Anyone have a problem with the 2.1l engine suddenly going super rich after a good dunking? Diesel black smoke cloud visible in rearview mirrors!!. Missing on all cylinders, no power to speak of, about 1/4 of norm maybe. Revs up fine without a load on. I know I submerged the O2 sensor, but the engine area is just splattered/spray. Odd thing is that if I turn off the ignition for 30 secs, then restart the problem dissappears for about a minute, then returns. Took about many cycles/30-40 minutes to clear up, made a 2 mile drive out of the woods real fun. Kept on even after 10 minutes on dry road. I know the brain will run rich without an O2 sensor attached, but I've run with it disconnected before and this has never happened. Oh, I'm sure the water temp sensor was under too. :) Any takers on this one? Thanks, Tim

OK, finally --- VENDORS...... what price for a new outer front CV joint? Blew that at the same time, it was a damn deep mud hole, under a lot of water. The front locking diff is what kept power to the remaining side, otherwise I'd be paying a $100 tow bill (or still walking) right now, 2WD =/= 4WD, even with a locker.
