There's all kinds of guesses that could be correct with a description this vague. I know that once when I forgot to re-attach a sparkplug wire I had the same sort of reaction to my Vanagon. "Hey, why's this sucker accelerating so slowly???" (Still got up to 55 on the freeway!)
