Ya know Karl, actually there were some Rocket Scientists popping together Bugs after the war you know... But to the topic at hand! Research the archives on HP vs speed. There is a given amount of HP to push a vanagon to a certain speed, mine will presently do 70 MPH all day long, loaded and w/A/C on max cold. This requires an HP value that the pretty much stock engine can deliver. -Now-, if Kyle can give us say 30 extra ponies, this would only be available to be used where? 1) Accleration 2) Towing your Offshore Fishing Rig etc. HP is HP, this is why all auto makers are giving us more HP in our cars w/larger engines without sacrificing reliability or gas mileage, for that HP will be tapped only rarely, and for a few seconds accelerating. I am certain the 2.1 water boxer bottom/top end will easily handle 30 or more extra HP w/very little sacrifice on reliablity. My $0.02 USD or is that 4 cents tonight? -- ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> Shalom Mark B. Magee 82 Diesel Westy 87GL 96 Suzuki 4WD Sport Kemah TX USA John 14:6
