Volks, Correction in Bold, Forgive:

I am enjoying the conversation on the K&N air filters. I have K&N Filterchargers on my entire "fleet". I am convinced that performance is increased, and the filters well worth the investment, but no dyno here, nor plans to find one. A point to ponder: K&N cotton gauze (oil soaked) filters have been used as the standard RACING air filter since the late 1960's (aske 'em!). Many of these folks have engines costing multi-dollars (an old navy joke) and I'm sure they would not be so hooked on them, from Baja racers to formula cars, if they felt they would pass any size particulates (silica

or whatever) that would scuff their rings/barrels to any signifacant measure. My $.02 USD's -- ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> ><> Shalom Mark B. Magee 82 Diesel Westy 87GL 96 Suzuki 4WD Sport Kemah TX USA John 14:6
