We usually install aftermarket cages in them to make them tougher still. The price has come down a lot on 930's recently (70 dollar range) and the sand buggy crowd is going to them instead of bus because of the strength and you can get more degrees of angle out of them which can give you more wheel travel. To install 930's in a bus you need to get new oversize tranny flanges (diameter is larger and the bolt pattern is larger with either 10mm or 3/8 24 threaded holes), you need to have your stub axles reworked to accept the larger 930's and you need new larger diameter drive axles. I have developed a process for reworking the stub axles and flanges and have sold hundreds in the past few years to the off-road guys. If you are in! terested in doing this or need any help or advice about doing this let me know. -- Todd Francis Ridgefield, Washington USA '86 Westy Syncro '91 Tristar
