Just want to share an idea. For those of us who carry those broad brim hats typically worn by kayakers, etc., storage in the van is not always easy. I installed one of those metal, spring loaded hat holders that are commonly used in pickup trucks by cowboys. I removed the front screw in the "headliner" on the driver's side and next to the rear view mirror then screwed it back in through the hole in the holder bracket. I "aimed" the holder toward the sliding door for maximum clearance. These holders are not cheap but they are made well and will last. I got lucky and found one for thirty five cents at the Good Will.
