Subject: K & N Filters
Comments: To: vanagon@vanagon.com

Hi Everyone. From personal experience in our '91 Miata, and our '87 Golf Diesel, the K & N filter replacement cartridge has done wonders in fuel economy, top end performance, and filtering of dirt. These filters work well, and never have to be replaced, just regularly cleaned with K & N's recharge kit annually.

I have never experienced any higher operating temperatures than normal filters, and the engjnes breathing is dramatically improved. Starting off the line is also much better. I have recommended these filters to my friends, and they have also reported the same results whether in a GTI VR6 Golf, Aerostar minivans, or a GMC 1/2 ton truck. These filters work, and work very well indeed. A cheap way to gain extra power, cleaning efficiency, better mileage, and performance.

I would run a K & N in the Syncro but I already have a stock of Syncro filters to use up first.

Just my own experience... Harry. --------------------------------------------------------- Harry Yates, Langley, BC, Canada '90 Syncro Westfalia www: http://syncro.bcit.bc.ca/hyates '87 Golf Diesel email: hyates@bert.cr.bcit.bc.ca '91 Miata (Millie)
