Hey Volks I have 3 questions tonight so I thought I would break them up so only the interested would read. My 85 auto westie makes a light clunk when I let off the power, right about when the transmission "decoulples" from the motor (by that I mean your gliding and motor revs drop to 1200 or so while going down a hill to a stop sign or something). I plan on checking the CV mounting bolts but the sound has not gotten worseover the last 200 mi. or so, so I'm wondering if it might be normal. I have to listen for closely for this clunk or I can't hear it. Even "All Things Concidered" on NPR will mask the sound. Any ideas? TIA Later, Stephen Davis 85 Westie |
