Hi Volks I've got a automatic transmission with a little over 170,000 miles on her. I've had no problem, and neither has the other 2 POs. Trouble has started to brew however, when the tranny downshifts from 2nd to 1st she "bangs" alittle. She shifts great through the gears and from 3rd to 2nd. What do you think this could be? Has anyone experienced this? I've got a new filter and gasket to install but, I've been having trouble finding Dexron II fluid. Do you think the filter is starting to clog up? Old fluid? One of those small hoses clogging? The transmission fluid is at the proper level and is of good color and smell (not burnt). Any input on this would be appreciated Thanks Bill '85 GL [*Magic*Bus*] Big Sky Country <>< |
