Noisy CV? The first time I had such problem I had it replaced. Then some years later it came back (Not just one but both sides). I chose to ignore it (them). Time went on for at least 2 more years. Finally I couldn't tolerate the noise any more. So I took all 4 CV's off (mine is 2WD). And I thought I should give them a real good lube first to see if it makes any difference. Guess what? After the thorough lube all the noise disappeared. I was impressed by the fact that 2 years of abuse the CV's are still good, once they received the deserved lube. They were really noisy (loud). But they only needed lube. Try it out before buying new ones. David 84 vanagon 83 westy |
