I just got my '84 GL Vanagon "Cocoa" on the road the other day. It was a real basket case initially and has been off the road for about 2 and a half years now I would guess. Runs great but seems to be suffering from either a semi clogged fuel filter, water in the gas, or skunky gas (old gas). So I would like to put a clear filter in place of the VW one to check to see if I am getting trash from the gas tank or what. Is there any special filter I should buy or will a Walmart special do the trick? I am not going to use this filter for the long haul. Just want it for now so I can get an idea of what is going on. Then I'll put a good filter in there. Any suggestions? Thanks Ken Wilford John 3:16 |
