Hi all: My installed-20,000-miles-ago GEX engine has had an oil leak, seemingly from the rear oil seal, right from the get-go. (I found the list about 1 week _after_ I ordered the GEX engine - Sob!!) Just recently it has started to leak from the front oil seal too. At least I presume so, since I'm starting to get oil dripping from the starter motor/bellhousing seam; I figure oil is being thrown up there from the rotation of the flywheel. Anyhow, looks like I have a summer project of replacing oil seals, and probably clutch components too. My questions are: 1) are there common "engine case problems" that cause these type of oil seal leaks, or is the most typical problem use of faulty oil seals and/or faulty installation? 2) if there _are_ common "engine case problems" that result in leaks despite proper installation of good seals, what are they?
