Subject: Remember the boring survey post?

Yes, that's why I got so upset a week or two ago, and got called an a-hole for saying that someone's survey post was boring. There are so many posts and I absolutely cannot read them all. I know I shouldn't take things so serious but to me, surveys are a waste of time.

I work with a whole lot of engineers and to many for example, they think that the only way to fix a flat tire is to survey the whole state on what brand of lug wrench would work the best. Then they'd go and buy one only to find out that the survey they took left out the most important question. What size of lug wrench should be used? (I'm kidding)

So into the trash goes that survey and out comes the latest and greatest survey.

I'm a family man. I'm a factory mechanic. I like Vanagons. I'm not going to dedicate my life to the things, but I can see that many people do really take pains to "get into" them.

And I guess that's what makes this list work. The fact that people are willing to help each other out and take that extra time to see that each of us get the info and tech support that we need to fix our "Peoples Car".

So thank you to everyone who participates and even to those engineer types.

I know they are a necessary part of getting something built right. Arrrgh...

My apology to each of them...:~)
