Thanks for the motor-list pointer and the translation!. I'd been to Martin's pages before, but my German is rudimentary and I never found the egine list.

Now to look into turbo diesel availability in the US. At least I know what I'm looking for now!

Bitte, waB bedeutet 'Umbau'? Transmission? Project? The context is "diese Motoren kommen fu:r den Umbau in Frage", the use of kommen here I'm not so sure of but I'm guessing "these motors (come? are available?) for the (project? transmission?) in question".
