hey volks,

My delema is this. I want to convert my '88 vanagon to a carat styled interior. I've had a lot of input from people and have so far committed to pputting the rear facing theater chairs/chair (I only want one), it'll be fun. However, someone said that the rear bench of a carat in 2-3 inches narrower to make room for the table wall. Is this true and does this mean that I will have to find a rear bench of a carat/wolfsburg in order to make such a conversion.

the bench seat in vanagon is: frame to frame 65 .5" bottom seat cushion is: 63"

If you can't help me, is there someone who knows this type of information concerning the validity of this conversion. Is it possible to put a table wall panel in an "88 vanagon with its current rear bench arrangement!??

Help!

jon
