Make sure that the volunteer has a snorkel. I drove into water at night and
the "bow" was temporarily under water up to the lights. In other words I
lost sight of everything and sudden darkness befell me (my poetic version).
If you keep moving then there seems to be enough of a wave to keep the
electrical parts of the engine out of the water for short deep encounters.
Stay away from bigger puddles that have names though. :-)
