Just a note, I've found I do not have to remove my seat (Westy with
swivel seats) to get to the battery.  As the seat is facing forward,
slide it back on its track.  Then swivel it 180 degrees so it is facing
rearward and you should easily be able to access the battery.

The swivel plate is indeed not symmetrical front to back.
