It is probably the windshield gasket. I had the same problem on my '84 Westy with water soaking the carpet on both driver and passenger sides. I replaced the gasket (got the "Cal Look" type, which eliminates the need for the trim moulding, from the Bus Depot) and had a local glass guy install it. No more leaks. Bill Knight Raleigh NC
