Problem could be in the ignition switch itself like mine was-plastic housing cracked(someone was saying the ign. sw. doesn't like too much weight on keyring). I got my starter done at auto shop-brushes replaced, clean and paint.no problem in 2 years.Cost $30 though takes time to get Bosh parts. There is not much that can go wrong with a starter -try the solenoid, connections to solenoid and gnd. straps. Hope this is helpful Gerry -----Original Message----- From: Lebron, Nathan (GEP, Contractor) <Nathan.Lebron@GEPEX.GE.COM> To: Vanagon@VANAGON.COM <Vanagon@VANAGON.COM> Date: Friday, April 24, 1998 8:57 AM Subject: OK That's It! I'm getting rid of this if it refuses to start!
