Volks, Given the nature of when most demands are put on a power steering system, i.e. parallel parking, I wouldn't sweat how much load is put on the 2.1. It's not like the most power is demanded of the engine at this time. I would be concerned about the difficulty of the retrofit. Best of luck, Sam
