Other than a dealer ($70) anybody come up with an alternative source for the adhesive colored stripe that runs around the vanagon at the beltline? Auto parts stores seem to have only thin stripes. Jc Whipme has RV adhesive stripes in multiple colors that maybe if you cut off the thichest stripe will work. Maybe I'll just remove my old faded stripe and paint a thick stripe on. eric henning@fp.com ps - re: Consumer Reports - I was offered a job there a couple years ago, after I toured the facilties and was shown their testing methods I canceled my subscription of 6 years and turned the job down. pss - I found some inexpensive tent poles at Walmart yesterday. The kind that telescope out (rigid pipe). Should be good for holding up an awning in front of the sliding door. They were about $5 each. I. Goldberg sells heavier ones for $15 each. |
