There is a little black button-like switch in the driver's door jam that operates both. If you take a pen or screwdriver, you can push it in and then up or to either side a little so that it is jamed in the closed position and thus neither the light nor the buzzer works when you open the door since the button stays "in. " This is the easy way to do this.
