Everything else works fine - radio, lights, fans, etc. When key is turned to "on", everything acts as it normally does. In most cases this will accure after the car has been turnd off with a hot engine. The starter solenoid , and the magnet to activate the starter, if weak, will be affected by the heat causing a no start situation. Tapping on the starter with something hard will get it started. When cold, the problem is gone because the starter solenoid isn't weakend by the heat of the engine. Replace the starter if this happens again. Michael. |
