James,

I hate to bring this up but back in 88 or 89 (I think) either in Hot VW or VW & Porsche there were two articles run first was about converting a westy vanagon to GTI engine and the next issue discussed in detail a killer air conditioning system installation of the same westy. I recall that this system more than handled Los Angeles temps. I wish I could remember the exact issues but I know that I have them somewhere. I bet Jim DiGennaro knows since he went through the process of the GTI instal in his westy.

Anybody remember those two articles. They discussed the brand of the units and detailed the installation. I'll also keep you at the top of my "sell the air conditioner list".
