Subject: Are waterboxers junk?
Comments: To: vanagon@vanagon.com

Hello,

First time poster here... I have a '68 Westy, and am considering upgrading to a water cooled. I have two small children, and it's time to get a vehicle that has some reliable heat in the Colorado winter.

Everything I see on the web makes me afraid to get one. Are they all 'ticking'? Do you just have to budget for a head job every couple of years, or are there some out there that really do work as intended?

I wish there was a good compromise between the nostalgia of my bus, with the comfort of a watercooled...

Thanks for any feedback...

Brad Klein bklei@what.fc.hp.com '68 Westy
