Sounds like you don't live in the boonies like I do! At night there is very little traffic and on the back roads there is NO traffic. I have a switch to turn off the AC lights and I don't even think of turning them on unless I know the chance of on coming cars is low.

I know all about it. This is why there are light switches and common sence when to turn them on.

I do have to say they are VERY safe in the back country where there are lots of deer and moose. The the AC lights are bright enough to get the ditch get very well lit up and the deer stay in the ditch instead of staying in front of you on the road when your normal lights make them freeze on the spot.
