I was wondering, has there been much problems with brakes on peoples vanagons? What type pads are most people running? I am currently using a set of PBR metalmasters, they brake great, a little squeaky, but I account that to not using the disc brake quiet stuff when I put them in. Also I was wondering if there are any brake upgrades for vanagons? maybe up to an 11.5 inch vented disc? Since I have 16 inch wheels I could probably throw up to a 12-12.5 inch didsc in there. This would require new calipers though. Many people I've talked to recommend finding some cross drilled and slotted rotors of the same size, 10.1 inch. I just think my current discs look so tiny in my 16 inch wheels. Also is there a rear disc brake retrofit? Any input greatly appreciated!
