<< would that be a Quantum with a longitudonal 5cyl, with CIS (Which has far fewer parts, is much simpler and cheaper to repair than Digifant), and basically the same lay out as the "junky and worthless" Fox? Foxes are simple, cheap, and reliable--kinda like a VW, huh? And, the Foxes were built in Brazil, though not German quality, IMHO much better than the Mexican built VW's (Golf's/ Jetta's) Just buy a Beetle, paint it a funky color and live a little! patrick F. ps our fox just rolled 98K, with nothing but maintainence and a radiator!

>> Let me know what you think of your fox when it's time to replace an instrument cluster bulb, replace the heater core especially with A/C and a long glove box. Don't drive the fox with boots on, you won't be able to push on the gas pedal without accidentally pushing on another pedal. The car may be reliable, but quirky in design and build quality. That car should of never been sold in the US. All it dose is make VW look bad. By the way, a CIS car is twice as much to repair and more complex if there is runnability problem. Also my american built Deisel Rabbit just rolled 282k, original motor, my 86 (CIS) Golf has 192k (like new), my 87 mint condition Audi Quattro (CIS) has 144k, my 87 mint condition vanagon syncro has 128k (digifant), and my 93 VW Passat VR6 has 129k, also mint. Speeking from experience, specializing in VW and Audi, that digifant fuel injection system is a simple set up, simple diagonsis and run a lot smoother. I do admit that they don't have the same quick throttle response compared to the CIS. Dump the FOX and get your money out of it as soon as you can.
