Ok, let's all count= CIS- Fpump-Accumulator-filter-Fuel Distributor-warmup regulator-cold start inj-injectors. It uses vacuum and thermo-mechanical control of the mixture. Digifant adds-computer-wiring (with lots of tricky ground connections)-temp sensor-air meter-tps?-fuel pressure reg. It uses magic no-see-ums called electrons to control its functions-it's not horrible, but it's no CIS for trouble-free driving. And check the price of a rebuilt FI dist vs. a digifant comp sometime, It may have changed drastically, but last time I looked, they were close, with the cis dist being about $100 cheaper.

<<Speeking from experience, specializing in VW and Audi, that digifant fuel injection system is a simple set up (1), simple diagonsis (2)and (3)run a lot smoother. I do admit that they don't have the same quick throttle response compared to the CIS.>> 1.Yea, and motronic manuals are great reading for my kids. 2.Next time you can diagnose and fix an EFI with only a FP gauge and a test light let me know. 3.Wrong. The EFI is more precise, more efficient, and has better throttle response VW's big push for the efi was for emissions. As for throttle response, the CIS car must wait for the engine vacuum to pull up the flap for enrichment. Air is slower than electrons.
