Ray, The model year information is curious. When the first thread about the fuel injector recall came out, i called a dealer and asked about it. They did a search using the VIN for my 1987 van and said that the service had been performed in 1991. I tried searching the NHTSA database, but didn't come up with a fuel injector recall for 87 model year (BTW, specify volkswagen truck when searching for vanagon). Was there an earlier injector campaign as well? I did find a recal campaign about fuel hoses attached to fuel rail that degrade over time.

later, freddie
