I went back and look at the mounting bracket a little closer and to my chagrin, I was mistaken. The L brackets are mounted to the bracket which is mounted by the rubber engine mounts to the rear carrier. But I still like the stock over any I have seen so far.

I ordered a SS headed and I did not like it and sent it back. Why? The flange that bolts to the head was smaller than the size of the exhaust port- Flow restriction, The muffler was too heavy. The welds were not done well. The tubing seemed thin. If you have one and like it, good for you, I simply did not like the one I got and sent it back.

I plan to have a custom one made in the near future.
