Buy a syncro westy. Those are the best vans out, well in my opinion anyways, but you may need cash to make sure it is a good van and stays running. Of course how much you need to put into the van depends on how much the previous owner put into the van. If you cannot afford the syncro westy I'd go with a water cooled vanagon because your up in colder climate and you'll need the heat of the water cooled. Just my thoughts. If your looking for info on what to look for when buying a vanagon check the archives they'll give you all that information=)
