Subject: tailgate tents?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

I was wondering if anybody has any information on tailgate tents (or cheaper sidetents) currently available. I love the German tents, but can't afford the pricetag. Arkatents used to carry a tailgate tent from a company called Sportiva that fit the Vanagon (about $260) but they quit carrying them before I could buy one. I think that Arkatents had a falling out with Sportiva, though they may have been discontinued. Does anybody know anything about finding one of the Sportiva tents? Anybody found a reasonably priced alternative? I spoke with Cabellas and they say they have a tent that would attach to the Vanagon tailgate and it is $175. Anybody know anything about this tent and whether it would really work for us? Thanks for any info.
