Subject: High Idle fix....
Comments: To: vanagon@vanagon.com

Hi folks,

minor fix, I've been stuck with a high idle once warmed up, to the point of cleaning up the throttle body, adding a heavier return spring and was getting ready to swap out the idle stab. unit. Then started checking vac lines, found the 2" long piece onto the fuel pressure regulator had cracked to bits under the cloth cover. Replaced that (and the rest) and idle is back to norm. Cheap fix, try it first.

As far as fixing the rich running condition when submerging the Syncro deep, stay tuned. It _ain't_ the O2 sensor, just tried sealing the H2O sensor, time for another plunge. Damn (building) beavers have made some of my usual roads a bit wetter than normal. May need pontoons!

bye, Tim
