ha! you'll never find it!!! :) look under the carpet on the floor, about where the driver's left foot would go. that's the front washer reservoir. you have to unscrew that black funny-looking cap. and when you fill it up, you'll very likely hear/see fluid running out onto the ground. that's ok. just stop filling. what's happening is that the tank is full, and the fluid is going up the filler neck, but the tank/neck gasket is old and dried out ... and lets the fluid run out. almost all the vanagons have this gasket problem on the tank. it's ok. the tank is still full.

now, that front tank does NOT service the rear hatch window. there is another tank, in the passenger side wall, just below the last side window, and behind the rear seat. you have to pull off a black plastic cover ... looks sort of like a bump in the wall. you'll need a funnel to fill this one up (without soaking the rear cushion).
