I feel being in our vans and definitally in the syncros that your so high off the ground that most of the cars of today you'll be on top of their engines if you get into a head on accident. The list consencious is right most accidents are not completely dead on...although I know someone who ran into a brick wall with a dodge omni and walked away with bruises. So head on can happen but rare. I definitally go with the idea of rather being in a buss than any knew or older beetle. From my accident, which was a rear end one I only have a small dent in the back and it crushed my bumper but it was at over 50mph so I figure if the back can hold up that well hopefully the front can too. All in all I do not fear the busses safetyness perhaps it because I know my syncro will be on top of that new bug if Im in the head on! Just my thoughts=)
