On a total aside, I've rolled a van 2.5 times over, an '86 came out beautifully. Mean to post the pictures if I ever get my ass in gear. Head on, I've seen an '85 hit a low wall at about 30mph and the damage was fair. But the van skipped up over the wall and bent up. Head on at any speed, you are probably dead, my rec, don't hit anything head on at speed. Stability in any Van, certainly poor by truly modern standards, but actually a lot better than it ever feels, I can haul a van around the corners fast enough to lose someone who can't drive, and am predominantly power limited.
