Subject: Vanagon sliding door 'open' catch
Comments: To: vanagon@vanagon.com

So, you slide the door open, and it's supposed to catch on a hook there by the rear door frame. Well, the hook on my van is a bit loose, and has settled such that it lies below the part it is meant to grab. With the door open, I can tap it up with a finger, and it catches just fine.

It is attached with a couple of Phillips head screws, but they are obscured by the door. How does one reach these screws to tighten them?

Thanks in advance,

Chris Wyatt '87 Syncro GL Fairbanks, Alaska
