Subject: Syncro Driveshaft Repair (Replacement U-joints)
Comments: To: Vanagon@VANAGON.COM

This is a short update to my earlier post dated 4-1-98.

I just spoke with Todd of Proven Force (driveshaft & u-joint specialists in Minneapolis, (800) 444-0755) who informed me that they have located a local supplier for the correct size u-joint for the Syncro driveshafts. Therefore, they will do the entire job of u-joint replacement and driveshaft balancing for about $ 135. This includes all parts and labor, although UPS shipping is extra.

He also said that they are now stocking the u-joints, so turn-around time is very fast. He added that there have been 4 out of town Syncro owners who have had their driveshafts repaired by Proven Force within the last month.

If any of you happy Repairees are Listees, please post your experiences with this repair so that others can benefit from your experience.
