Listees, I may need a new coil for 84 Westfalia, 1.9 L engine. Haynes (UK) Manual differentiates between green sticker and gray sticker coil versions. The green sticker secondary resistance is specified at 2.4 to 3.5 k ohms. The gray sticker secondary resistance is specified at 6.9 to 8.5 ohms. The primary resistance specification "(typical)' is given as 0.5 to 0.8 ohms. The present coil is green stickered. What is the functional difference between the two?
