Just a general note to the type2-related lists: <brag>Last month I took the "grand prize" in Coyote's fiction contest sponsored by vanagon.com.</brag> Ron's cool idea was to give each winner the pick of the prizes, from first place on down in turn -- meaning I got first choice. There were some really nice prizes there, and if I'd been located in or heading out west, I might have chosen the free westy rental or something similar, but I picked the gift certificate from S&S Headers -- never hurts to have a spare bag of snakes lying around, and it's been a long time since I've owned a really nice extractor. S&S were very pleasant to deal with -- they sent me a catalog and I picked the "dual quiet pack" systems for my 71 westy. The parts arrived yesterday in two boxes -- the dual muffler is a whopper! It's gonna look righteous. When I get an engine.... The good folks at S&S are to be commended not only for contributing a prize to the contest -- but also for the fact that when the total with shipping came to a little over the amount of the certificate, they covered the overage on their own. And Ron "Feral Canine Pest" Lussier is also to be commended for setting up the whole thing in the first place, and for his excellent vanagon.com site! joe Joe Clark *YOUR MESSAGE HERE* jclark@supernet.net "Spill the Wine! http://www.supernet.net/~jclark/ Dig that URL!"
