With all the discussion of wheels and tires, may I post a question to the group about tire pressure. Having just received my Haynes manual (Thanks, Ron), I reviewed the tech specs and was amazed at how high the recommended tire pressure is. It's been over 15 years since I owned my last Transporter. The manual cites 39/55 psi for front and rear tires, respectivly if running 185/R/14 tires. What would be the correct tire pressure for 195/75/14 tires? Would it also be that high? Bill Ward '86 GL |
