The resistance value is different in both rotors, so it might not be a good idea to interchange them. Individual rotors are usually made for a specific purpose and rarely are they superseded. In some cases, the tracking metal piece on the end is specifically made for an ignition's overall energy output to prevent carbon tracking for that particular application and in some cases, better resistance to engine room heat. Exception however is that VW (but not Bosch) superseded the 04012 rotor to the 04033 quite a few years ago. My advice is to stick with what originally came with the vehicle/distributor.
