Well the inevitable has occured for my 85 Westie it seems, tho earlier for the long block than I had anticipated at 139k. So now I'm at the crossroads of conversion options. I can upgrade to the 2.1 Wasserboxer fron AVP for around 1850.00 including 200.00 for the crank. This actually seems to be the cheapest route so far but I'm open to suggestions, experiences, advice regarding alternative solutions. The mechanic says I should see a real difference with the 2.1 after having such low oil pressure in the 1.9 so...maybe this will be the way to go... Thanks, Rick |
