Vanagon owners, I use a wheelchair for my mobility needs and I drive a 1991 Vanagon. I have to enter the van from the large sliding door. This is how I keep my door opening smooth every time. Once a year, usually in the spring I take my van to the car wash station where you get out of your vehicle and power wash your auto yourself. I get a can a Gunk and spray the outside track with it. I do it several times. I put my finger on the track to make sure the track is clean from grease, grim, grit and dirt. I also do the inside track at home with a garden hose to control the spray. I use a full can on both tracks. Once the tracks are dry, several hours later. I spray One-Touch tire foam into the tracks. Open and close the door several times. Believe me, you think you have yourself a new sliding door!! Then once a month, spray the tracks again with One-Touch foam or spray the tracks after you wash your van.
