I haven't had a lot of luck or satisfaction with all the time and money I
spent at Salim's on Eastern Ave. (I bought my 82 Vanagon from him).


Any of the VW mechanics will be happy to do the mechanical work on your van
- but I've come up with a big zero for any camping equipment/electrical
related work.  I finally ended up at an RV shop in Bolton (northwest of
Toronto) for the  big auxiliary electrical system installation.  The bill
(all parts and labour) will be over Cdn$1100.  We'll be picking it up this
week - I'm holding my breath.


Let me know if you come up with any good (and centrally located) VW shops.
