I need to fix the rear end sagging problem on my '85 Westy and need some assistance.

Has anyone ever used those small "donuts" that are available from various sources to all new life to old springs? I believe they are installed at the bottom end of the existing coil to add lift. I don't think this is a good solution but considering the price of coil springs I feel I must ask the question.

It is my understanding that the rear springs in a Westy are different than those in a standard Vanagon. Is this correct? If I end up replacing the springs, would I be better off replacing all four coils or just the rear?

Last question, does anyone know of a less expensive source that the dealers for Westy/Vanagon coil springs? The dealer price is approx. $375 each!

TIA,

Ken Ehlert
