Just wanted to say that Dans advice was great and Monarch Refrigeration are an excellent repair shop for Toronto area volks. My biggest surprise is that the 182B Dometic in my Canadian 1990 Westfalia is apparently an improved version wiith the spark generated electronically and not by the push of the air pump. What this means with the newly repaired fridge is I just push the propane selection button, turn the gas knob to gas and press the igniter button. The fridge lights IMMEDIATELY I can hardly believe it. I don,t even have to stroke the air pump. The fins ice up at about a 3/4 temperature setting. I am so excited .
