A big thanks to everyone that responded to my wheel and tire size questions they were a big help, anyway i forgot to ask what are some of the brands of aftermarket wheels that will fit my syncro - most of the manufacters advertise that there wheels fit japanese and american cars but what happened to german cars. and also something i may have not been clear on in my last posting on the list (sorry) is my 87 syncro came new with 185/70R14's --- is that the best size for my syncro keeping in mind the gearing and syncro system or was vw just trying to put the minimum tire size = ( minimum cost to them) on my van to get it rolling down the road. thanks again for everyones help and happy motoring
