Subject: starter bushing, possible to replace?
Comments: To: Vanagon@VANAGON.COM

The '88 Westy got really hard to start all of a sudden. Pulling the starter and peering in the hole shows that the bushing has almost completely disintegrated. Does anyone know if it can be replaced without breaking the engine and tranny apart?

TIA - Frank
